WEEKEND SHOP / FIELD NOTES
Pack for the hours between games
A family checklist for a full baseball weekend.
The player’s bag first
Use the team’s current equipment and uniform list. Lay out required gear the night before: bat, glove, helmet, shoes, socks, belt and protection. Add approved extras the player uses. Check replacement uniform colors and style.
Keep a dry change of clothes and a place for wet or dirty items. Check the schedule and arrival instructions before packing. A multi-game day needs different planning from one local game.
Then the sideline
Plan water, food storage, seating and weather layers around venue rules. Check whether chairs, canopies, outside food and coolers are allowed. Give shade equipment an adult responsible for setup and follow anchoring and weather instructions.
Keep charging supplies, directions and essential contacts available privately. Follow the family’s existing care instructions for health needs and the event’s emergency procedures. A packing list cannot replace individual medical advice.
A last look before leaving
Assign each family member a short check. Leave room in the car for dirty equipment at the end of the day.
